WHY DO WE DEDICATE OUR CHILDREN?

A group of people on a stage, including three adults and several children. One man with glasses and a beard holds a microphone, surrounded by a woman with long gray hair and glasses, a man in a light pink shirt, and children of various ages. The background is dark.

Parenting is hard. We want to do whatever we can as a church to encourage parents in this noble and God-given task. During child dedications at Compass Bible Church, new children and their parents are presented in front of their church family. The parents promise to do their best to raise their child in the “discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).
